Reporting with BIRT
BIRT (Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools) as a generic reporting tool allows users to easily schedule their own reports or design new report templates. BIRT can directly access both EXAM data model and EXAM report data model. An easy to handle template editor supports creation of reports. It is also possible to create management reports which deliver information about test statistics, test coverage and so on.

EXAM is...
... a graphical test development tool
EXAM defines a comprehensive methodology based on UML to represent, implement and evaluate test cases. It enables you to graphically model test processes in sequence diagrams without programming knowledge. EXAM thus provides a uniform language for the representation of test events. EXAM is suitable for use in Hardware-in-the-Loop simulation (HiL), test bench automation and industrial automation as well as in embedded development and Software-in-the-Loop simulation (SiL).
... support for your test process
EXAM supports you in the assignment of tasks into different roles in the test process, e.g. test designer, test bench supervisor and test result reviewer. It is easy to integrate the EXAM role model into your existing test management process. Hence, EXAM supports the entire test process from test specification to the test result management.
... the standard in the Volkswagen Group
EXAM was co-developed together with AUDI AG, Volkswagen AG and MicroNova AG in 2006 and has since been established as uniform test automation tool for HiL simulators throughout the Volkswagen Group. From the beginning on, the users had been largely involved in the further development of EXAM leading to an advanced system including tooling and libraries.
